Build a wall
Tightly secure the border
Create a program for illegals to declare themselves within our borders. have them pay a criminal penalty (fine, probation, whatever) but get them registered so they are paying income tax just like the rest of us.
Place them in a probationary resident status for 10 years. Commit a crime or fail to maintain a job and your arse is out of here. After which they become full citizens with voting power.

Except for the automatic citizenship part, some plan like this makes sense, with a few tweaks.
However, this only makes sense until you realize that leaders in the Democratic Party are not honest. They are Alinskyites. They WANT a crisis at the border. They WANT dissension among US citizens. They WANT to use Any means necessary to accomplish their goal of fundamentally changing the United States.
Remember, that plan was tried before with a PROMISE from the Dems that tighter border security would come AFTER amnesty.

This place used to be a privately run state prison. It's been around since the eighties or thereabouts. It used to be pretty good as far as prisons go, with job training programs, educational courses and the like. Successive waves of cost cutting over the years turned it into a shithole, unsafe for guards and inmates alike. The company eventually went bankrupt or lost its DOC contract, I'm unclear on exactly what happened. The feds took it over for an immigration facility, as stated in the article. The employees are real happy because the pay is about double what it used to be plus some pretty great benefits.
