Some individual school scores (only public schools minus Uhigh)
Here are the schools you'd want to avoid....

(WAFB) -
Several school districts in the Baton Rouge area performed exceptionally on the 2016-17 School Performance Scores (SPS).
Two of the top four spots went to schools districts in East Baton Rouge Parish, while Ascension Parish came in at 4th place, and Plaquemines Parish Schools came in 2nd.
The scores were released Tuesday, November 7 by the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE). The top four scores were as follows:
#1: Zachary Community Schools - 115.6
#2: Plaquemines Parish Schools - 110.7
#3: Central Community Schools - 110.5
#4: Ascension Parish Public Schools - 110.4
This news comes as Central and Zachary continue repairs at schools that were damaged in the August 2016 flooding. Concerned about the impact flooding would have on their students' test scores, East Baton Rouge Parish asked that their scores from the previous year be carried over and Livingston Parish opted not to report their scores at all.

My MIL went to McDonogh way back in the 1950s. If this is the same one near Gentilly in NO, I take it a lot has changed in the neighborhood since.

Old Livingston much be struggling. They are the first ones to mention scores when they are in the top 5.

and Shreveport with 3 elementary schools in top 8

Wow, what's really sad is the amount of elementary schools on the list of failing schools in your OP. Just scrolling through I saw quite a few.
If young kids don't have a chance, then who does? The parents (or parent) of the children in all those schools should be ashamed.

the overall state of the public education is a joke in Louisiana. Most middle income families are stretched thin because they are forced to pay for private schools for their kids if they want them to get a decent education. Even a family that is doing "well" (household income of 100-120k) if they have 2+ kids in private school @6-20k each a year can really put a stranglehold on finances.

I’m not sure how it’s scored but how do you get a 1.8?
I’m shocked McDonogh #32 Literacy Charter School got an F. Do they not teach literacy?

Managing 6 schools works out better than managing 50. Go figure.

They received a waiver due to the flooding, according to The Advocate. They’re not included in the rankings.

The lowest was 1.8. I’m no math wiz but that’s like 78x the lowest score. How the frick do you get a 1.8?

I completely agree with you, it's a joke.

it's almost like you have to try to be that bad....blows my mind. I feel sorry for the students that have to attend these schools.

They're not schools. They're detention centers basically. But a few connected people get rich with these charter schools, with taxpayers dollars, for three years before they are forced to close said charter school. Then, they open another charter school with a different name. Amazingly, three of the TOP thirteen schools are in Gretna.
