I collect them does anyone else. I have roughly 400-600.

I have a few that are hard to get.

I have a Saints. 5 LSU. And one black bear.

I have this LSU one it has been outlawed because you can't see it at night. I am currently willing to sell or trade it for one in better shape. mine has 3 small trailer hitch bumps in it.

I would really like a NLU one but not really having any luck finding one.

just walk around the mall parking lot and take them off of cars. I bet you could find some good ones there.

I don't collect them, but I have an old 1948 Louisiana Plate, and a 1984 Louisiana Worlds Fair one.

~500 (wtf kind of range is +/- 20% in this) license plates is a whole lot of plates. Some older, rare ones would be cool. Just not sure what you’d do with em.

I’m pretty sure I have one or two of the purple striped LSU ones. @gmail

To me, the most famous Louisiana license plate is the one that came out of that shark in Jaws.

isnt it illegal to have these plates not on your car? I believe it is property of the state like street signs.

I don't know about that but I'm pretty sure if you don't turn in the plate and cancel the insurance on a vehicle you're gonna end up with a fine.

Hollywood prop. Fake plate. Back when these type plates were issued, the center letter denoted the Louisiana State Police Troop (region of the state) where it was issued. There is no Troop O. Also no mounting holes. Cool piece of memorabilia though.

I had a few friends in the car business and got most off of them. some of my customers know I collect them and will bring them to me. I have also bought a few over the years.

I know a guy who has over 20k. now that's crazy.

I went to a street market in Vienna, Austria and a vendor there had over 1000 plates from the US for sale.
