I don't know about that but I'm pretty sure if you don't turn in the plate and cancel the insurance on a vehicle you're gonna end up with a fine.
The dmv tells you you have to turn them in.
this is not the case. All you have to do is cancel them and keep sheet of paper saying you did this.

I have an NLU one. My father ran track there in the 80's

But you're certifying that you destroyed the plate if you don't surrender it.

I’m looking for another one of the old LSU ones to activate on my wife’s car (Bama alum). Got one to sell?

ETA We have one of the original LSU plates on my wife's (no pics) car.

Much appreciated
Doesn’t have to be from your collection. Just if you see one out there in your travels

Can you have the LSU centennial plate on a car still today?
Posted on 11/15/17 at 9:46 pm to tLSU
There was also a troop H in Leesville until about 15 years ago, I believe.

I know it can be issued for a 1960 car with all the documents sent the the dmv. Can’t be done at any local dmv have to mail it all to Baton Rouge.
I don’t know about getting one issued for a new car or your current car.

Do you just collect LA plates or all states? I was at a car show a few years back and their were a couple venders with boxes of plates from all over. I guess collecting these items is a big thing for these guys. And, they weren't cheap either!
