The amount of great comedy we are now being forced to miss out because of social warriors bums me out
One of my buddies pointed out recently that there’s no way tropic thunder would be made today and that movie isn’t even old. shite made me sad

I don’t think you understand humor.
I don’t know if you are a proggie, but you can’t just input stuff into a formula and make it funny. It’s all about delivery. That’s why 2 people can tell the same joke, one can butcher it and the other can have you rolling

Tell that to Mssr. CK.

Just curious, who are some of your favorite comics?

I enjoyed a good bit of Louis' earlier stuff. I saw him several years back in New Orleans. It's possible to be edgy and "offensive" without being lazy and trite. I honestly kind of struggle to think of a stand-up comic today that I REALLY like. Bill Burr and Chris D'Elia are pretty funny. For my comedic fix these days I'll usually just watch Seinfeld, Curb or The Office.

Louis C.K.’s Leaked Comedy Cellar Set Panders to the Alt-Right
It’s becoming more and more apparent that most people only know CK from his indie darling tv show and not his OnA/older stand ups

The thing is...And if you listen to his shite he already knows it, is that he’s already fricked. At some point you realize you’ve got nothing to lose and so you stop giving a shite what these little social justice warriors think. And you just let loose your absolute most savage.
It’s almost a blessing to have the muzzle taken off. When you are trying to dance around and not step on any toes if you don’t have the freedom to actually be Brutal

How dare someone else find a comedian I don’t like funny! You are supposed to hate him because I told you to! Wrongthinker!!!

I'm all for edgy comedy, but school shooting jokes are better left for the inside of your head. That's just poor decision making. Being a comedian doesn't give you a free pass to say things without consequences.

He wasn’t joking about kids being shot. He was ribbing on the fact that a certain few used the tragedy of others to capitalize For their own gain, and that they expect everyone else to bow down and value their idiotic opinion because of that.
It’s arrogance. It’s people deciding that they are the arbiters of what is and isn’t acceptable and expecting everyone else to adhere to it.
It’s an affront to free speech and should be mocked and rejected

Or if you're going to go there, you should go there in a creative and comical, maybe thought-provoking way. Past comics like Hicks and Carlin would make jokes in wildly creative ways which touched on jarring and "offensive" topics. Louis was just like "bleh bleh bleh why do kids complain about stuff?!?!".

frick that obnoxious guy laughing in the background.
This piece of shite ruined that whole recording. It sounds like he was forcing himself to laugh. The rest of the crowd gets the jokes, this guy just laughs when he hears others laugh because he is too fricking stupid to get the jokes and laugh naturally rather than forced, hehehe, hahaha, ahhhh....fricking die in a car wreck you annoying piece of shite.

When has that not been what Louis did? He's always been this way and said controversial things. It's just that now people are determined not to allow him to reemerge in public because they don't like the whole sexual assault(?) thing.
He's one of my favorite all-time comedians BECAUSE he has an innate ability to mix incredible satire with the thoughts that go through all of our heads. Which isn't to say that everything is satirical, some of it is just his ability to take a controversial issue and remove all nuance, culture, politics, and feelings to just put things in the bluntest of terms....almost like if an alien showed up on Earth one day and wondered why the hell David Hogg is so important.
I thought most of this set was really good (obnoxious audience member aside).

Right? Way funnier than most leftist comedians i’ve Heard lately. I didn’t laugh at all of it, but some parts definitely had me genuinely cracking up
And yes I’d pay to watch the horrible laughing dude drawn and quartered.

A lot of folks want to like it because it pushes buttons, but the parkland bit is hack comedy; you can't lack total empathy for the victim if you're going to insult the victim. He could have dressed it up much better.
Chapelle's bit about manny pacquiao's "homophobic" comments is how you push the envelope correctly in comedy. This CK joke about Parkland is just lazy.
