The hiker had reported that an animal had been following her and growling, so she climbed a tree for safety.
She urged him to please hurry because an animal she believed to be a wild pig was nearby and growling
She warned the officer that the pig was still close by, and she heard it just a few minutes before he arrived. Shortly after that, the officer heard a car drive over the rumble strips nearby on Galm Road and watched as the woman’s body language immediately changed.
He explained it was only cars crossing rumble strips on the road nearby. Embarrassed by the misperceived threat, the lost hikers were reassured by the officer that the unknown can be scary and their reaction surprisingly common.

Did she think that animals had perfect vibrato and would repeat an outburst 4 times and only 4 times as a growl?

Upvote for incorporating the word vibrato into a story about imaginary swine.

Apparently changing its grunt tone wasn’t that pigs forte.

This is what happens when you live your life with your nose buried in FB and IG....so detached from reality.

Let us not forget urban or suburban living with ever present ear buds

Deep thoughts at a time when a hearty laugh would have been reasonable.

It is obvious the cop is hiding the existence of man-bear-pig, which this woman was most definitely being stalked by.

shite gets weird in the wilderness. Ask Jimmy Carter about the killer-swimming-rabbits!
