On Oct 31 commits suicide at 38, this has bothered me all week.

Apparently Alcohol and Divorce were involved.

Well if the best picture of yourself is wearing a CAT hat and a old T shirt, with a scruffy beard you have probably been depressed for some time.

The obit says his memory will be cherished by his wife and son. It also says he died at home after a long illness.

In the obituary:

quote:

Chris was born October 28, 1980 and passed away at his home in Dubach, Louisiana after a lengthy illness.

I thought usually they don't say anything. A lot of times they dont say anything even if it was a car accident.

Agreed. Suicides and OD’s they usually don’t comment on cause of death. But the family writes the obit so maybe that’s how they wanted it to appear.

Occupation said ”analisist”. Maybe he was drunk when he updated it?

Well, if the only way to draw attention to yourself is to post weak arse, disrespectful comments about a guy and his family that were/are obviously dealing with shite he felt was unbearable, you have probably not lived through much and are extremely insecure. You're not edgy, you're just a dick. Grow the frick up.

He probably figured he was there for the highlight of his son’s life and his time was up. Sad deal no doubt. Mental anguish is real.

Prayers to you for your loss.

A long term battle with depression would certainly fit that description.

This is sad

And I am sure there are assholes who will say he was selfish, etc, etc.. The same shite they say anytime the suicide subject comes up, but you really don't know how that person feels in that moment.

You really don't know. His son killing a buck and that exciting time might have lead to him feeling as if his son would be better off without him.

In his mind, the way he justified it could have been completely selfless. You never know. Either way, you never like to hear this.

The mind is a crazy and often times cruel thing. I’ve never actually fathomed killing myself, but have found myself in instances where I could easily comprehend how others could. Scary stuff. If you’re fighting demons, reach out to someone.

Well sorry to hear that. I just can’t wrap my head around it ever being that bad but then again I’ve always been fortunate.
