She must really want to go to prison. I read where she thought the DA was bluffing, and refused to plead guilty like the other 13.

The Feds are like your parents. If you frick up and run away from them when they're trying to punish you, you're just ensuring that when they catch your arse (and they will), they're just gonna punish you more for not accepting the first punishment they were going to give you.
