I think I saw that the admissions rate for Hispanic men into medical school was 67% last year.
The notion that her actions undermined the integrity of an admissions system which resulted in denying a more deserving applicant is almost laughable.
Thats all fine and dandy, but doesnt excuse the way the broke other laws to accomplish it.
Baffles me how that is overlooked

The fed conviction rate is still daunting for cases that do go to trial. They win roughly 90% of cases that ride it out.

It cracks me up that people don’t get how these things work.
The last thing she needs to do is plead guilty.
Yes, what she did was wrong but as a parent, she wanted great things for her kids and did what she could to help then get ahead.
She will serve zero jail time. She has no criminal record and was being nothing more than a parent trying to help their kid.

And when they win they'll request a sentence that is significantly longer than what they offered.
My guess is they want her to serve time even if it's 6 months.

they probably would be OK with 6 months had she pled like the lady from Desperate Housewives. she's looking at possibly 6 months
