I've never been to Esplanade. Sounds like it's the Cortana Mall of that area. Is the area around it hood, like Cortana, or does just the mall suck?

Reynard is also a likely choice for mayor.
Yeah, I don't agree with that.

So between nola.com, what Zahn says and what they do this is what I surmised.
Yeah, but YOU presented it like it was fact. Yet you yourself just admitted that it is your belief based on a five month old news article and a report about building condos next to the mall.
It's a BS OP.
Hence why you have a ton of downvotes and no upvotes.

can never have too many condos. and if that mall is anything like lakeside, good riddance.

There is a sorta hood near it. Really Lincoln Manor has improved a lot and is no where near as bad as Susan Park now.
Its close enough for people to walk, but it's not as hood as Cortana.

I think you will find the company that bought the mall is also in the business of making condo's.
no they arent

It's him vs Zahn most likely. Reynard is councilman of a large area and has support from it. I'm in five so I don't follow the info on 3 as much.

I said "looks like" not this is going to happen. Looks like is an opinion.
As far as the mayors race, Zahn has all the endorsements for the most part. He use to be on the Kenner Council, you know how this works.

Malls will cease to exist in the next 20 years or so.
The big box retailers traffic is pretty bad.
Online shopping is killing mall traffic.
Outlet malls will thrive for deals but that's about it.
My guess is Bluebonnet will be turned into more housing at some point.

but nothing in that article suggest that it "looks like" they are knocking down the mall, much less knocking it down to build condos. What made you form that opinion?

Reynard is on the council now.
But yes I have been here long enough.
We always vote for the one who the will give the police a blank check.

Going to miss that place. I once received a bad haircut at some place in there.

"We may explore some development to bring new, complementary uses such as residences," said Steve Plenge, Pacific Retail's managing principal."

They used to have a Supercuts in there. Can't really get a good cut at Super cuts. :lol;

You said "looks like" and then in the message posted a quote about a definitive action not related to your opinion. Therefore, the OP is misleading.

In fairness, you did walk into the arcade.
