You said "looks like" and then in the message posted a quote about a definitive action not related to your opinion. Therefore, the OP is misleading.

do you know what that means? No where does it suggest they will tear down the existing mall to build new residences.....it suggest they will bring in new development which is complementary to the mall such as residences.

The OP is misleading

Toof, It Looks like you never graduated high school with your comprehension.

He says nothing looks like they are saying they are going to knock the mall down, to that you reply.

quote:

to bring new, complementary uses

quote:

com·ple·men·ta·ry
?kämpl?'ment(?)re/Submit
adjective
1.
combining in such a way as to enhance or emphasize the qualities of each other or another.
"three guitarists playing interlocking, complementary parts"
synonyms: harmonious, compatible, corresponding, matching, twin; More
2.
of or relating to complementary medicine.
"complementary therapies such as aromatherapy"

So again it looks like you do not comprehend exactly what you are reading.

If it where your opinion you would have titled it.

"Looks like they MAY knock down the Esplanade Mall"

But again this entire premise is only in your head, as no one nowhere said anything even close to that. Except for a politician who said he would put pressure on the mall's shitty owners. Who are no longer the owners.

Geez dude, why can you not get how bad your OP is?

took me 30 seconds.

Maybe if you took that long to read an article you wouldn't look like a doof, toof.

oh. Those gifs just represent me showing my disgust of arguing with someone who DOES NOT GET THAT THEIR OP IS A STEAMING PILE OF DUMPSTER shite.

People read it and think it's fact, because you presented it as much. yet you can't grasp that you are wrong. It's almost comical.

Almost four. I'm out.

No what's comical is the amount of energy you spent. Enjoy your evening.

There is a sorta hood near it. Really Lincoln Manor has improved a lot and is no where near as bad as Susan Park now.

Really. When I was younger, Susan Park was very low middle class, had some rough spots, parts were ok. Lincoln Manner was scary to play in at night.

Spent a lot of time at the Esplanade Mall in my youth. Parents taking me shopping there when I was a kid, hanging out there shopping on my own or just meeting people there as a teenager. Food court was pretty good... had a Chick Fil A. Had a local sports store there... can't remember the name. Video game stores.

Also, the theater in the back part - not connected to the mall - was the location of the first time I ever got to third base. Ahh, youth.

I'm doubtful that anyone can revitalize that mall, as with the current shopping environment today, I can only see the area being able to support one large interior mall, and that is Lakeside.

Having said that, I've seen some of the work Pacific has done at other struggling malls, and they are legit. If anyone can restore them and knock off Lakeside, it's them. But it's a long shot.

Keep the anchor stores, keep the restaurants, tear down the interior mall and build a few large stores, or a Bass Pro.

Fwiw Ben Zahn is posting pro Pacific group stuff and sounds excited for the mall on Nextdoor.com. Don't sound like a mayor with plans to tear it down.

I used to have to go get kids out of Lincoln Manor after Mom's would call me saying their son didn't come home after practice. Never had a problem in there. Of course, the ones hanging out on the corners were guys I had probably coached in All Stars, or coached against, so they knew me.
