I'm assuming it has to do with his purchase of the beloved Circle Food Store at sheriff sale.

Place is a dump.

That entire stretch of St. Bernard from Claiborne to Rampart is disgusting. Glad he's willing to dump some money into it.

He bought the Circle Food Store which had failed, and is turning into a food hall like St Roch.

My former father-in-law did one of the loans to bring Circle Food Store back several years ago. This plus a couple other places he did the lending for have all failed.

fricking delicious. frick that braggart drunk, guess he may have to go on another "hiatus".

That should go over swimmingly.

For the record, I'm not one who thinks I should be able to tell people what do do with property they purchase and own - I'm just saying.

Prior to Katrina, I think the store sold groceries, gold teeth and also had a recording studio in it. That owner was a jack of all trades.

I want to see that area do well. The addicts and whores love to walk the avenue there.

It is 100% gutter punk hipsters that moved into that neighborhood within the past 10 years and are now bitching about gentrification without a shred of irony.
