I've been looking at 2015 and 2016 Acura MDX, Lexus RX 350, Honda Pilot, etc.

What are the best SUV's under that criteria in your opinion?

Are you self-employed? If so buy the one that is over 6000 pounds under IRS 179.

In that price range a Hyundai or Kia would be better than those choices unless you are just trying to impress friends and strangers.

You're likely not going to get low mileage/certified in your price range for the Lexus. Not sure on the Acura. Should be able to get a well equipped Pilot for that price.

I like the Lexus out of those, but the Honda is the prudent choice if that matters.

Friend has a Kia. It's a nice vehicle in every way except... the ride is horrible. In the neighborhood it's fine, but when you get out on the freeway it bounces like a school bus.

That's a no go.

Thanks for posting this. Just looked it up. I'm self employed about to buy a vehicle.

huyndais have some good reviews, tuscon, sante fe or that new kona. prob can get all those for under 30 and newer.

If you are looking more luxury, i do like the bmw x3. You could find one in your price range that is a 2015. Has good ratings, says con is its just more expensive than most rivals.

2015 Honda Pilot may be one of the best cars ever made.

Grand Cherokee is one of the better looking vehicles you'll find in that range. Reliability is simply adequate, however.

If you didn't know this was a thing, you either need a new accountant or or you need to hire one and stop doing it yourself.

I just hired a new one who is great.

My last one was a POS, but he recently passed away so I won't speak ill of the dearly departed.

If he's new to you, I get it, but these are proactive things a good account should be teaching you.

I bought a 2015 Acura RDX for the wife a few months back. 36 month lease turn in. Super clean, 36k miles on it. $23,500 which was about $1500 lower than any other similar one I’d found.

All in all, it’s a good price but I’m not overly impressed by the Acura. It’s nice and all. But it’s not exactly high end.

I cross shopped the Lexus RX350 (or whatever they are) but those are a gigantic pain in the arse to find exactly what you want because of their a la carte features. Whereas Acura is more good/better/best packaged and you just pick one and go.
