Ditto on 1-hour, which is River City Air Express.

They will show up and quote you $8000 to replace your entire unit.

I'm looking for one as well. I have a pretty bad freon leak. Got some added in April, and house is no longer cooling well during the day in June. When I got it filled, the AC guy seemed sure that I had a leak in the evaporator coil and said it would be $1100 (!!) or so to replace it. He also didn't seem to keen on actually locating the leak. I imagine evap coils would be the primary candidate for a leak because of the huge temperature variance cycling throughout the day every day, but I would certainly rather know for sure that's where my leak is before I spend that kind of money on it.

A-1 In Port Allen. They serve BR too. They've done a lot of work for me and have always been very fair and honest.

I used Carl from Southeast Heating and Air last week because of recommendations in another thread. Good guy, re-charged one unit, changed the capacitor in another and re-attached some loose ductwork, all for $197.

Tried them once ---VERY expensive for simple recharge. And expensive for estimate on new unit! Based on recommendation from this board. Not impressed.
