Two and a half days stuck in the Denver airport during a blizzard in October of 1997. The National Guard would not let anyone leave the airport because of the dangerous weather conditions. Painful would be an understatement.

Thats pretty minor. Ive been stranded for three days and know people that were stuck for a week. Its all part of life here.

I've been stuck in both Denver & Charlotte for over 8 hours each. Both sucked after a while, but there are definitely worse airports to be trapped in that long.

24 hours in an African airport (Luanda) with no air conditioning in the middle of summer. Who wins now?

Like 8 or 9 hours, had my flight redirected to Houston and the next flight out wasn't for awhile later. It kind of sucked being in the airport for that long.

I spent 9 hours physically in Miami International Airport at 12 years old, by myself.
Mom tried to save a few bucks and says she didn't realize the layover was that severe.
I explored every goddamn inch of that place

So basically, you all still got to your destination faster than you would have gotten if you had tried to drive there, and this terrible experience happened to you less than one percent of the times you flew somewhere, and you were safer than you would have been had you tried to drive???

Nah baw, I could have made it faster driving. Ended up being total over 12hrs at the airport. Scariest part was the 2 bachalorette parties drinking all day looking pukey. They held it together.

Frankfort Germany for 16 hours ... on a Sunday and the lounge wasn't open.
Flight in was late, ran like OJ thru the airport to the departing gate and the shuttle bus was just pulling away. a-hole at the gate wouldn't stop the bus so that I could get on.
