What kind of a person accepts a grounding at 18 after graduating?

I never really got grounded per se. my parents just took away specific things for long periods of time.

A. You're a college student at that point. That is very fricking weird they grounded you.

B. An entire summer for drinking responsibly as a college student?

You're parents are lame AF man. Being that strict on kids is not beneficial.

I can't remember so probably not more than a few days. My dad was more a fan of the belt and my mom used guilt trips.

Dug a bunch of 2 ft deep holes with a friend in his backyard.

His older brother and friends always beat up on us.

Covered the holes for disguise. After school one day, we knew his friends were going to come after us, so we had them chase us into the backyard. 3/4 ended up with broken ankles or legs.

Got in a lot of trouble for that one.

To answer thread, never been grounded.

Parents just took stuff away as a kid instead of grounding, which hurt worse. Also, they got separated summer before freshmen year of high school and divorced a year later, so I had essentially no rules or oversight in high school.

It was fantastic. I was somewhat happy they got divorced because they fought all the time and I was mature enough to know that didn't mean they didn't love me any less...but I didn't tell them that

I was probably grounded from the age of 13 to the age of 18. As to why, well, I was just a bad Louisiana teenager.

I was already grounded 2 weeks for a reason I dont recall when the July 4th weekend rolled around. My parents went out to a party and left me home alone but told me not to set foot outside the house and no TV.....Ok fine. They said nothing about shooting fireworks out my bedroom window.
Yeah I did that and burnt a hole in the new carpet and melted a small piece of the weatherstripping on the window ledge.

Think 2 more weeks were added onto my sentence.

Back in my day we didn't get grounded. If you were bad you got signed up for the draft early

Got my car privileges pulled for all of my spring sophomore semester in high school.

I got caught doing 92 in a 65, airline hwy between people and gonzales. Thank God a trooper in the same troop as my cousin caught me.

He called my cousin who came and picked me up. Wrote me a bullshite non moving violation, then brought me home and explained everything to my dad.

It was well deserved. I could have killed somebody.

I was probably amongst the first generation that had electronics taken away instead. From what I had seen just in popular culture was that being "grounded" meant being in trouble and lacking privileges of some kind. My mom always used to tell me "I wasn't grounded" when she took away my gameboy. It wasn't until I was at least late into high school that I realized being grounded actually really meant you couldn't go anywhere except for school.
