Pretty much this for me too. I’ve turned on the TV once in the last 3 weeks. At most I turn it on once a week.

I normally go months without TV. I don’t have cable or any streaming services. My only TV is an old tube kind.

A few years ago I brought my TV to my hunting camp. I did not buy a new one for 8 months. Only reason I bought a new one was for football season.
The 8 months without were just fine. I spent more time outdoors, lost roughly 25 pounds, and felt better health wise.

There's a recently divorced dad renting a house near me, who I swear has his TV on nonstop, no matter the hour. Pretty sure he has it on even when he is not there. I suspect he leaves it on out of loneliness.

Wife and I didn’t have a TV in the house almost our entire first year of marriage. We’re big readers so we didn’t really miss it. Have Netflix and Hulu now but that’s really it.

Our TVs inside and outside stay on but we only watch if football or baseball is on.
