Upon arrival at the hospital, it was determined that Wade had burns covering 75 percent of his body, along with a dislocated shoulder and lacerations to his head. Today, Wade walked out of the hospital with family and friends. His recovery really surprised medical professionals. According to KATC, Wade exceeded the expectations of his doctors. The only thing I can think of is that the plane broke up and he wasn’t next to the fuel tank.

It’s unreal he survived that but I’m curious if he remembers what happened since there was no black box.

Great to hear that he is out of the hospital.

I can't imagine the hell, both physically and mentally, that dude has gone through the last 2 months.

If anyone has read Travis Barker's biography, he goes hella in depth about his plane crash like how painful the skin grafts were and just how fricked up it was seeing burning bodies. He still refuses to fly after that.

I only read it once because if I read it again, I would honestly be hesitant to ever fly again.

The people who died weren’t victims? Don’t you mean “Lone Survivor”?

I don't think anyone with a normal functioning brain wants to see or smell that. I've smelled a dead body before, I never want to see what it was i smelled.

In the military we called people "Squishies" because our bodies are very squishable. It's disturbing to dwell on how apt this nickname is for us, fellow Squishy.

The most likely explanation is that they didn't have enough airspeed to overcome the yaw induced by the asymmetrical blade loading.

Short version:

Twin engine aircraft need to be traveling above a certain speed before attempting to climb otherwise the engine can induce a yaw which is difficult or impossible to control.

Long Version:
boring but thorough video explaining the principles involved

...again this is just a guess, but it would at least make sense given what is known about the crash.
