In St. Amant?
Seriously?
Yes seriously. Whether or not the gen pop of an area agrees with a sentiment or not should have zero effect on the complete disregard and incompetence of a state employee abusing their authority and post things on social media that go against the code of ethics they promised to adhere to.
I don't care if Joe sipping coffee at the parts house thinks a teacher doing the same to an Obama symbol/image is funny. The only thing that should matter is does this constitute a breach of ethics/conduct? If so then there should be a zero tolerance policy for it. See anyone who called Alton Sterling a thug or felon who lost their job because of it (even in conservative areas).

Not really, there's nothing ironic about it.

My subsequent question was just about the philosophy behind the decision to keep politics out of classrooms.
But do you... argue frickING EVERYTHING.
You're the one arguing and calling names.

BOOM BOSTON TEA PARTY
Mic Dropped.
That was sarcastic. You're right, Republicans don't seem to get all protesty and violent. The perception of injustices is bolstered by connectivity(idiots hamming it up with other idiots on social media to gain numbers and agenda).

Did I say anything about vandalism or riots?

No, but you certainly implied that the right protests in the same way as the left. That is completely untrue.

The vandalism and violence related to anti-Trump is disgusting and has no place in society.

And yet it happens any time the libs protest anything.

I didn't imply anything. You assumed. I just said that both sides protest.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Protesting gun-control or abortion like the Conservatives do, it seems controlled and organized to challenge law changes or potential legislation.
When liberals freak out about 'injustices' it's like they turn into children and completely lose focus, or shift focus into hate without any agenda or solutions. Chaos.

and the code of ethics
Link this "code of ethics" concerning teachers and social media or gtfo. My experience is that you aren't allowed to have contact with students through outside communication (including social media) period. That may be just a local district rule though. According to the local guidelines where I live, If she hasn't "befriended" any current students...again - no fricks given. For those thinking I agree with her actions- you are wrong. frick her. Calling for this woman to be fired without just cause is a SJW bitch move IMO. The consequences for her actions can be personal or even boycotting any personal business she has. Firing her for this- NOPE! Like I said...frick her, but don't be a bitch about this.

C'mon man let's keep perspective on things. Not everything is violently protested. There has been a small amount of violence and vandalism that has broken out but this is certainly NOT a national crisis.
It just looks bigger because of national media overhype and constant posts on social media
Look at the Gay rights movement as an example of liberals protesting without much in terms of violence.
Have we seen many trannies flipping cars over and burning limos?

She is not a state employee. She works for the Ascension Parish School Board. She is probably a civil service employee. I doubt Louisiana being an at will state will matter in this case. Therefore, any laws concerning the political conduct of state employees or the ability to fire her at will do not apply in this case.
Most school boards do have comprehensive policies regarding electronic & internet communication with students. This involves social networks and even indirect communication. Meaning teachers can be disciplined for lewd or offensive content posted on their private social media accounts. She might be disciplined in some manner, but no way will she be fired.

That's a good point. The gays turn out by the thousands to protest or celebrate or just show solidarity and pride.
Nothing gets wrecked except buttholes.
To the rest of the liberals: Be like the gays. They are level-headed .

If there is a code of conduct/ethics at her job, then I believe that termination could be justified. It's one thing to post images on reddit/TD/ect. under an assumed alias. It's completely different to post openly on other forms of social media where you can be easily identified and leave yourself open for the consequences.
