In the overall scheme of life, this is an incredibly minute and unimportant issue that is garnering way too much media time.

I'm curious, did you say anything to anyone at Ruth's regarding your displeasure? Online review? Comment card? Speak to a manager in person or maybe just a simple follow up email? Maybe they don't know that some of their patron's value their dress code requirements? Or maybe they just don't know to what extent they value those "requirements"?

I don't think they will have to apologize directly to the NAACP. But if they double/triple/quadruple down, you still may not be eating there a whole lot longer anyway. They should meet with them, meet with this woman, apologize to her as quietly as you can and get back to selling steaks.

They're going to do it eventually. If they can do it quick and immediate then it goes away. If they wait until all the bullshite really gets stirred up, then they're gonna have to do it and there's gonna be a whole lot more shite to swallow.

Knowing / working for one of the co-owners for years, almost no chance this happens

They should just permanently ban her regardless of what attire she presents in.

Enough is enough.

Sometimes it is appropriate to dismiss a customer.

They really need to enforce their dress code. It’s been getting progressively worse. Last time we went, there was a guy in there wearing gym shorts, a jersey, and hat tilted to the side

I go there like every day bruh I don’t feel like getting dressed up. Sorry you can only afford to go for special occasions

Ah. Well at the very least, this should certainly be very entertaining to watch then. I'm just glad I don't have any financial interests involved.

Her attire was offensive to everyone trying to eat their meal without seeing a half-naked land whale

Dori is cool and smart.

Now I guess I’ll have to give clicks to the articles.

Upset over being refused Service at one of her favorite restaurants, McClanahan said she walked down the block to Zea Rotisserie & Bar where she received “several compliments” on her outfit

Ok, I’m calling bullshite here.

1. She didn’t walk down Jefferson to Towne Center.

2. Nobody at Zea’s complimented her outfit.

This shouldn’t have to be done at an establishment like Ruth Chris.

I second that.

I’ve known Dori forever. One of the best service industry people in BR.

They don't enforce much. I've seen outfits 10x worse than this lady's, people letting their kids run around and almost knock over servers, etc. Management said nothing.

Does anyone honestly think the NAACP (the family of the so called victim is the NAACP) only wants an apology? They want $ and anyone who thinks extortion of businesses isn’t part of the NAACP playbook you live a very sheltered life.
