Forthe record, this is inevitable and was predicted 180 years ago by a French guy named de Toqueville.

LP- Denham Springs charges about 15% tax (local, parish & state) in return for sweet FA.

That Deer Run subdivision is proposed at 2029 lots on 1345 acres. Just one of several being proposed on 4H club road. That road is going to be a shitshow and cause an even greater bottleneck at the Fl Blvd intersection.

So run for office instead of whining about it.

What is the LP doing with all of this added property and sales tax income?
They waited decades for the Juban Rd off ramp. The parish then did zero to capitalize. They left the part where the state built four lanes in concrete to funnel into two lanes up to 190. Perfect designed bottleneck.
Upgrade the roads and build new schools. You have the money.

They’re about to build another subdivision off Buddy Ellis and they recently built an apartment complex for seniors nearby. That road is going to be a clusterfrick within the next couple years.

25 years ago I drove to Corpus to go fishing...get to sw area of Houston and say all these 4 lane roads with nothing around...they planned for developments

will the parish tip over if too many developments are on one side?

You want to see this on a even worse scale? Come to Ponchatoula. The Tangipahoa Parish Council is doing the same thing but using the Ponchatoula area to fill feed tax dollars to the Parish. Hwy 22 east is growing out of control. Thankfully the housing market is about to stop that shite.

My return to Donaldsonville looks more and more viable by the day.

It's nuts. Any citizen with a lick of sense can see this is a problem, and there's even plenty of evidence of the issues with recent flooding and the horrid traffic. Yet the politicians don't give a flying frick about it.

Montgomery county Texas did the same thing nearly 20 years ago around the lake Conroe area in hwy 105. They built a 6 lane road with a center turning lane. This was done years before the explosion in Develpoment in this area. No doubt Houston have some really good planners. Really the entire state of Texas when you think about it. At the drop of a hat they will build a loop around even a tiny town. If the Baton Rouge traffic shite show were in Houston they would have had that issue solved 40 years ago.

They have the councils and planning commissions in their billfold, next to the cash. Everyone making money for themselves as fast as possible, consequences to their parish be damned.
Just ask Corey Orgeron.

Correct. They haven't 4 laned a single road in that parish since they 4 laned 447 in Walker.
All those east-west highways between Watson and walker that are exploding with houses are all 2 lane roads with no turn lanes and no shoulders.
its going to be a shite show

Anyone who has witnessed the actions of Ascension Parish knows an area can't start hardcore develop until the infrastructure is in place and then the development,
Don't LA municipalities require the developers to build the infrastructure as part of the approval of the project? Any time a large development of open land is approved in Florida, the builder is responsible for a considerable amount of the infrastructure.
