I was in court when a guy represented himself and put himself on the stand. They swore him in and he sat down.
He then jumped down from the stand, went to the defense table and asked himself a question, then went back up to the witness stand to answer it.
The Judge said: "Don't do that again. Just say what you intend to say."
It was hilarious.

He was doing a good job but a real attorney would not let her go off on him in these answers instead of giving just a yes or no answer.

he actually had a few objections go his way earlier. the judge has been particularly kind with him

I agree. But I also think he's giving him extra rope to hang himself so as to avoid an appeal on bad objection rulings. This cross is not going well for him.

No matter how this ends, this dude is getting his rocks off by being able to interrogate his ex wife in a controlled setting and he's pushing all her buttons and he knows exactly what he's doing
