No where might be an exaggeration. I’m in Nola. I guess I’m just going to a few places that have always been no cash.

Yep and some of them offer cash discounts.
My local bar is opening back up today and having a big boil later.

Got out $1000 in cash right at the beginning of this just to be safe. Turns out, nowhere will accept cash... oh well.
Lucky for you if you took small denominations, then you can wipe your arse with them when there’s no toilet paper available. Venezuela demonstrated this was possible when no one there could afford toilet paper.

1) 1st of month and Friday are both normal paydays... so when the 1st of the month IS a Friday, more people get paid.
2) Lot of people don't have direct deposit
3) Most bank lobbies are closed to appointments only
4) Stimulus checks arriving for the poors (who likely don't have direct deposit)

Most of the gov't money/benefits are deposited or checks mailed throughout the month.
Social Security benefit payments are deposited on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday of each month, depending on your day of birth.
SNAP benifits are deposited from the 5th to the 14th based on the last # of their SS#.
