Ooh Baby, Baby (should be included in OP list) was not hers either. Sung by Smokey Robinson first time I heard it.

But she still knocked it out of the park when she remade it.

Not sure what it "being hers" has to do with this thread. Lady still crushed whatever she sang.

I think Different Drum needs to make the list from when she was with the Stone Poneys. And that was written by Michael Nesmith.

She was the opening performer/band for Neil Young at the LSU PMAC in February 1973. I didn't know who she was at the time.

Neal Young-1973 PMAC Setlist.

If I could hear her sing just one song live, it would be that one.

Linda's version of Willie Nelson's Crazy is the only one that comes close to Patsy Cline.

When I was a waiter back in like '91 I waited on her and her mariachi band when they came in for dinner after a concert. She was pretty cool and down to earth.

She was 'uge when I was in junior high in the 1970's. Couldn't turn on the radio w/o hearing one of her songs. She was with the Stone Ponies before that.

She got chased of the stage in Las Vegas when she dedicated her cover of "Desperado" to Michael Moore.

As others have said, the first time I heard her was when she sang “Different Drum” with The Stone Poneys. She was very pretty back then.

Different Drum

That was before she started dating Governor “Moonbeam” of California.

In the 90s she did an album called “What’s New” on which she sang some old classics backed by The Nelson Riddle Orchestra. Her voice was beautiful.

I think she had to quit singing due to some illness she got that affected her vocal cords.

Her vintage album of old standards, "What's New" (recorded with bandleader/arranger Nelson Riddle), is outstanding.

I've seen her in concert 4 or 5 times over the years (once at Jazzfest.) I always found it fascinating how she could blast out songs, yet between songs, she was very shy and demure, talking so you could barely hear her.

Doing "I can't let go" in concert 1980.

Everyone loses their voice with age. You think Geddy Lee sounds the same since his prime?
