I do agree with your timeframe, but not for the reasons you are saying it. We won’t have herd immunity until we can get a vaccine, and I’m hearing that will happen around the first of the year. It will take another 6 months to produce and distribute the vaccine. That os where I arrive at my 12 -18 months.

These kinds of facts are relatively useless. For starters, counting numbers like this are only going to get worse, not better.
Second, people take precautions all the time to avoid lightning, even though the chances are still incredibly slim.
ETA - the "arguments" being used for/against this virus have clearly devolved past the point of basic logic, so feel free to use these useless facts to combat other useless facts.

okay, fair.
my point was to highlight how stupid it is that we have partially shut down our country, cost millions jobs, and are now throwing a fit about kids going back to school. When it reality nearly half of the 100k deaths in this country have been over the age of 80 with pre-existing conditions.
Would it make you feel better if I removed the lightening statistic? even tho, it is true. You can not argue the other statistics
