I have a salad for lunch at least three times a week. The lettuce is fine.

Toilet paper shortage. Lettuce leaves are doing double duty.

How can we get God to make lettuce taste better?

My uncles garden lettuce was really sweet, but you can still get good romaine. We get ours at Sprouts and it’s great for salads and sandwiches. My wife cut a bunch tonight and me and my boys all had raw pieces especially the small leaves from the core. Iceberg is often tasteless so I only buy that for burgers or tacos.

Ate a club sandwich from Jersey Mike’s today and the lettuce was exceptionally fresh.

Was it all at once? Assembly line? One guy after the other?

This is why I always ask to hold the lettuce on my spicy chicken sandwich.

Maybe wash your lettuce? Lettuce is just crunchy water for holding other flavors, unless it is watered with sewage, it's you.

An E. coli outbreak that was first detected largely in the Midwest is growing, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says. There are now reported illnesses in New York and Kentucky in addition to those previously recorded in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Though the CDC said the specific source of the outbreak hasn't been confirmed, many of the people who got sick reported eating sandwiches with romaine lettuce at the fast food chain Wendy's. There have now been at least 97 illnesses tied to the outbreak, with 43 hospitalizations and no deaths.
