Let’s talk lithium production by country

I had seen something this past week that China controls 65% of the worlds lithium production. I was doing some follow up research and it seems the bulk of the worlds lithium is actually mined in Australia. I know China deals in Australia a lot so are these Australian mines controlled by Chinese companies or was this 65% number a case of fake news?

But what are the restrictions and time it takes to mine in Australia vs China? China doesn't care about environmental crap or how many people die in their operations. Plus like others have said, they loan money to poor countries to extract their natural resources. China has a plan and the US people better wake up before it's too late.

Australia was fudged a bit with the PPE gear. Chinese owned companies there were buying it up and shipping it back to China.
