Seriously, publishing garbage reports based solely on rumors is terrible reporting and really unethical for a "journalist". Though anyone writing for the Hayride is barely a journalist

Also, McKay was the first person I heard speak of the .38 wound to the leg, so we should probably all assume that's false. Not that it matters, the officers were still responding to a threat.
