I'm sure you never did anything dumb as a kid, where one thing going slightly different would have dramatically altered/ended your life.

Doing dumb stuff as a kid is a fundamental part of growing up and being a normal adult.

Like I said we dont use Life360, we use Find my Friends......my daughter sleeps out at her friend's house a lot and it's hard keeping up with where a 17 year old girl is all the time.....she could be at 10 different houses and I like to know where she is sleeping and where she is waking up incase I have to go get her

I track my son to make sure he's waking up and going to class at LSU

Your whole argument was that the government and big tech are already tracking you, so who cares if you have life360.

No, my whole argument is that Life360 let's you control and choose who sees where you are, unlike the government and big tech. And for the specific reasons I mentioned, it's a great tool like any other, used responsibly. Using extremes to win an argument like this is lame.

then who cares if your boss wants to track you as well?

It's my personal device that I pay for. Again, I can choose on life360 who knows where I am. You're discussing two different issues and trying to combine them into one. You can't control or stop the government and big tech from watching your every move, using your phone.

Your employer is not the same thing.

'm on there because my niece that lives in Tennessee likes checking it and seeing where everyone is at. I'll just be somewhere and then get a text from her like "What are you buying at Academy?" I'm good with it just since she enjoys it and I couldn't care less if my wife knows where I'm at and I don't check it because I don't care where she's at.

THIS IS WEIRD AS SH!T

More like I don't trust my newly driving teenager to be able to tell me where he is if something happens. Kids these days have NO IDEA how to get anywhere without Google Maps.

Lol. Who taught your son to drive?
Yes, this is a rhetorical question.

BS. Some kids need that extra prodding to get going. Nothing wrong with that.

It's convenient for shite like you say when kids are in high school. I have one in college who turned it off 3 weeks in. That was file by us as well.

It's not going to stop kids from doing stupid shite if they want. I've never looked at it as such really.

By the way, when did kids in NOLA stop wanting to go to the quarter anyway?

Somewhere on here in the past, I have the story of Life360 saving my son’s life back when he was in high school.

All my kids have it and they have zero issue with leaving it on.

Youre not actually improving anyone's safety. Your family is still the exact same amount danger everyday whether you track them or not.

That’s not entirely true. Life360 tracks/rates drives based on speed, hard stops and accelerations.

Obviously it won’t prevent an accident but if you see a pattern of bad habits, you can have a conversation about it before something bad does happen.

I have it, but I'm single and only share my location with one friend. I don't mind someone knowing where I am for safety concerns.

She's a location collecter, its her love language. Doesn't bother me.

I was out of town one weekend with someone she didn't know, that I was meeting for the first time and she screenshotted my location and sent me a text and said it looks like you are on an episode of 20/20 and if you don't text me back in 2 hours I'm coming to find you.

I wouldn't pay a penny for my kid to go to college if I had a reasonably belief that he wouldn't go to class if I wasn't checking up on him daily/weekly.

If that was a legitimate concern he'd be at home working until he was mature enough to handle college.

I have a son at Alabama. Dont feel the need to track his every move. He's 21 years old.
