Family of 6 all on 360. Its not about privacy. It's about safety. Come on man. Fyi, we are all adults.

Now compare it with today, where there are are shiteloads more people on the roads today. Mostly the same roads we had when we were kids. Visited my hometown of Chas. SC a few weeks ago for the game. OMG, the traffic. Would not have wanted my newly driving teens to have to drive in that everyday wo Life360. When I was a kid there in the 70's there was probably 5-10% of the traffic there now.

The roads are objectively way safer today than they were when you grew up. Like by a HUGE margin.

nope, none of us could give a rats arse what the other does(none of us have anything to hide bro). It's 100% for safety is why we use it. Nothing else.

letting your young niece have fun knowing where you are is not weird.

It’s definitely weird as frick your young niece who lives hundreds of miles away is keeping track of your location in real time.

You apparently do not have a 16 year old that drives.

I sort of get all sides here.

It really comes down to how you and your family will use it.

If you're prying and watching that dot move around constantly then thats obviously weird.

I think it probably works best when its something you kind of just forget about and only look at if it sends you an alert or in an oddball situation.

I think its something my wife will be very interested in, and me less so.

Everyone here has assured us this is not the case. They all have a spying app on their family's phones but hardly ever bother to use it due to lack of interest.

For most their wives convinced them to do it and now have to justify to themselves why they allow this insanity to continue in their own homes.

and God knows my parents needed it. I like it. My kid goes where he wants pretty much, he tells us, I check occasionally. I don’t blow my lid when he hangs out in a parking lot for an hour. He has learned my wife and I are true to our word that if he is honest and open we won’t blow up when he makes mistakes. He is 100x more open with me than I was w my parents. I am comfortable with it. I think life 360 is a great safety device

I don't t even care. My kids who are adults and their significant others and my wife are all together on it. They see where I'm driving for work and stuff. I never look at it unless one of my kids don't answer the phone, I'll peek to see if they are at a place like home/college or work, then I know their fine. Rarely do so tho.

Honestly speaking, anyone who has an issue having their location disclosed at all times to "family", usually means they don't want them to know what they are doing. Usually means they are doing thing they shouldn't. Facts bro.

Doesn't really seem like Life360 played any role or did any good in that situation.

Decent husbands whose wives have a tendency to worry about them.

This is the only reason I don’t have it. If my wife knows where I am 24/7, she’s going to ask me to do a bunch of stuff that I don’t have time for, get her feelings hurt, and I think you know the rest.

We live on a ranch and it's nice to know which area my husband is working in case something happens and I haven'theard from him inawhile. . Also sometimes my grown children forget to let me know they made it home safely. It has nothing to do with trust but has everything to do with LOVE!

Your grandparents, and probably parents, grew up not wearing seat belts. Should we do that or was the seat belt an improvement in safety of an individual?

Seat belts shouldn't be required and Elon is pushing for their removal as a requirement in his vehicles.

They used it at a sober house around here but I said naw definitely not and didn't go there.

The parents tracking their kids thing seems super helicoptery to me. Let your kids have some independence. Id be beyond pissed if my parents tried to do that to me.

No wonder our society is so fricking soft these days.

Soft? I give them the freedom and independence to have every luxury, including vehicles.
But it's still my liability to protect all things mine, especially kids.
I've also used it more than I can remember finding lost phones, etc.
