It's a legitimate issue. The president will need to enact an executive order freezing mortgages, at minimum.

We’re letting the virus win by ruining our lives and economy. It’s way overblown.

Depends on the education level and occupations of people in the area.

Uneducated and hourly? Yeah, probably looting.

Educated and salary with ability to work remote? All good.

They will feel what it's like to be a government employee during a shutdown.

My company said any PTO taken in relation to this will be reimbursed so I imagine any kind of shutdown would be paid accordingly too. If anyone wants to loot my house, I own guns so it would be unwise.

No. Multiple states and agencies have already stated there will be a halt on bill collections for things, like electricity, sewage/water, and even Wifi.

On top of that, restrictions were relieved on how banks loan money meaning you are much more likely now than ever to be accepted for a small loan that can cover you for two months

Just paid bills during lunch and my gas company's website said they were postponing any disconnects until May 1. Some people gonna be happy. I'll just keep paying my bills as usual.

Get 2-3 weeks off work that you'll be receiving back pay for once it all reopens?

If history is any guide, the looting in New Orleans didnt affect just the hood, but St Charles Avenue.

The looting happens where there are things to take.

Local goverments will prevent the severing of services like electricity, water and probably natural gas. They probably will have to look at keeping either the cell service or cable up and running without threat of shutdown....people will need to be informed.

The bigger problem will be people at the margins and food.

The government will have to subsidize everything.....the dollar along with other currencies will probably be exposed as a fraud because the Fed will have to keep adding zeroes...worse case. I guess this is the benefit of a fiat currency.

Wiemar America, coming soon.
