Hit a last second, game-winning shot.....in 8 & under YMCA ball.

I scored a TD on the last play of my high school football career. Last game of my senior year and tore a muscle off of my hip bone on the play.

Also had something like 15 tackles one game. I played free safety and our line and linebackers, save one, were terrible.

Edit: In the last season of men's softball I played, I hit a walk-off grand slam to win the very first game and a walk-off two run homer to win the very last game.

Picked off Danny Wuerffel in high school. It was a great throw, would have been a TD but his receiver fell down. Not really a great play by me, just got lucky.

The only hit I got in two years came off a wild pitch that was going towards my head. I dropped to my arse but my bat stayed up and the ball hit the bat, stayed fair and I made it to first base.
How can you not get at least a couple of hits in two seasons of rec ball? Man, you must have been terrible.

Peaked in Jr. High.

Took 1st in our Presidential Fitness 660 yd. dash. The faces on the brothers watching that still engrained in the brain. Later went on to get 2nd place in our county in the 440 yd. dash (now 400M).

Probably not my best, but most memorable. Went 2 for 4, but hit the hell out of the ball every time. Turned a few double plays at second. Nothing crazy, but what makes that stand out 20 years later was it was the last game my Grandpa got to see me play. Did make first team all region that year, but don't remember much specifically besides that day and my last ever at bat.

Similar here.

First and only high school game my grandparents from out of town watched me play. I threw a one hit shutout and hit a two run walkoff homerun to ten run rule them. My grandfather thought I was an All-American. Far from it.

Youth league soccer in middle school, played middie/forward prior to moving just at the start of the season to a new town. Got put on defense in the new town since I joined late. One of the forwards got hurt during the second half of a game and I finally got a chance to move forward and was pissed off it took so long and got a hat trick with the time left. Never went back to defense.

Gave it up for Varisty lacrosse in high school, kinda regret not pursuing soccer more since a lot of my lacrosse injuries cause me issues these days. I don't think I was as good at lacrosse either, but I enjoyed it more.

There was this time when I was playing for the world championship, with no time left on the clock, and only one chance to make the shot. It rattled around the rim, and fell out... but there was a whistle. I had been fouled.

Now, with no time on the clock, game tied, I had to sink 2 foul shots to win it all.

First shot. SWISH.

Second shot. Clank. BUT WAIT!! Lane violation!!

Second shot. SWISH. GAME.

I'll never forget it.

I raced bicycles for many years. My best results:

1st place CAT 1 Huntsville MTB race

1st place CAT 1 Waco MTB Race where I beat Dave Boyd, one of the fastest guys in Texas who was leading the series and undefeated (may he rest in peace).

1st place CAT 1 4 person mixed team 24 hour race at Rocky Hill (we beat second place by a lap and a half, destroyed the field)

1st place CAT 1 The Baton Rouge Battle at the Comite trails

With one out our coach gave the squeeze. The batter(I knew he would) missed the bunt, but I slid in head first and stole home for the 4-3 win.
Cool

People that have never played baseball don’t realize how difficult laying down a fair bunt is.

When Rudy Macklin was still with the Atlanta Hawks, he was back home playing a pickup game at Don’s Family Fitness Center on Monterrey in BR. I happened to be on the team playing against him. My 5’8” arse made a 18 footer over him as he lunged to block the shot. Scared the shite out of me. But I made the deuce.

I was the team leader in scoring and rebounding my senior year of high school. Too bad I’m fat and old now
