I’m not downplaying this weather but is BR just gonna get some wind? My weather app says it’s raining right now but not a drop is falling.

I have a sibling in Madison, MS and they showed me a projected tornado track that takes one right by Lake Caroline

Southern half of this storm line is underperforming compared to the hype so far.

Much of the worst stuff has been to the north

There is some stabilizing energy in Shelby county that is splitting the this storm line. 50 miles north and 50 miles south of Memphis not gonna fair as good.

Not sure how Memphis avoids the worst of these types of systems. It was like that when we lived in Collierville. Dyersburg, Millington....nailed every few weeks in Spring. Tunica and Byhalia were not much better.

But Memphis and Shelby County were usually safe.

Spann says they may do wall-to-wall coverage tonight when there is even just a severe thunderstorm warning due to the setup tonight. Typically their policy is to only go wall-to-wall for tornado warnings, not severe thunderstorm warnings.

Going to be some pissed off folks. He always posts things (after the storms have passed) that people send him about their not being able to watch Wheel of Fortune.

But we are blessed to have the man. Knows weather and every single street and BBQ joint in Alabama.

KDGX wind velocity on RadarScope is nuts. Half of MS going to see 100mph straight line winds?
