RTR, those storms just out ahead of the main line in Northern and Central Miss, are they in an environment to rotate? Or is it just southern MS/AL?

Jackson balloon didnt have a lot of instability this afternoon. So despite the abundant shear they will probably struggle to mature in north MS.
South of I20 though could see some actually develop.

I'm watching that storm in Pickens closely.

I think there are 2-3 rotations tightening up to my west.

It is going to end up with the best shot after all. That Southern end being slower keeps that window open longer.

Last time I did this thread, you all know what happened here.
it still unnecessarily aggravates me that the NWS found that cell dropped 2 separate EF4s instead of 1 continuous EF4 that would've broken the tri-state tornado record
not that that's any consolation for you at all

You should be concerned about that Hollandale rotation.

Anyone else watching Church Point area? Looks like good rotation there

If it helps any, the Tri-State tornado probably wasn't a continuous path, either.

Delta can you remind me what area you're in ... can you name a city you're close to? Thanks.

while I think everyone who's looked at that storm would agree... fairly certain in the NWS records it's still down as the longest singular tornado in US history b/c there's no hard data to refute that it was
that's why I wanted to see that "record" broken by something that is confirmed by modern technology and research methods

Delta, either one of those rotations could drop one at any minute. I'd take cover just in case.

Looks like the rain is just about over here in Bunkie. Good luck to all of you east of me.
