You and I sound like we are in the same spot.

I see your location and can say that I am indeed pretty close to you. I hesitate to say the exact name of my town on here, but it is in the north Jefferson County area.

Those loggers are still going full steam. I can hear the skidder and the saws from my house. I hope one of them is smart enough to pack it up soon or they are going to be fricked.

Any of you folks South of Mansfield want to report on the wind just ahead of this line?

And so it begins with the tornado warnings. I-20 is going to get smoked all the way through the Mississippi state line. Those storms are entering the favorable area now.

Nasty sounding for northeast Louisiana

Temps are soaring in South MS and SW AL. Official reading in Tuscaloosa jumped two degrees in 5 minutes. 79°/61°. Similar story for Jackson/Hattiesburg/Laurel.

Duke/Legend/ RTR/ or anybody else that knows wtf they are talking about.

Just flew into Houma from offshore and holy shite. Y’all weren’t kidding about the wind in front of this thing. That was one hell of a ride.

Aside from watching out for the tornado machine going brrrrrr from Hattiesburg to Jackson, what else are we looking at? Do we need to be watching out for the discretes popping up in front of the line in Hattiesburg? What sort of time frame are we looking at?

I'll try to catch him when he sails by if he forgets to let go.

Yes. That's the area I am most concerned with in that regard.
