Infants aren’t able to consent to cutting the cord either. Should mothers wait to get the kid’s permission for that too.

If that's you POW then you're off in the head. One... if you think God made us exactly how we're meant to be, then you would've stopped right there. Two... stating that elective procedures should be decided by the ones affected by said procedures????

Lady.... you got issues.

My wife said she didn't like the look of an uncut penis. And yes I knew and was unfazed that she had sexual partners before me.

So both of my early 20's boys have been snipped.

There are some small medical benefits (that may be countered by the risks of the procedure) as previously discussed. I feel it’s kind of a class issue at this point. The large majority of upper middle class white America and above are circumcised while the poor and minorities usually are not.
Myself and my boys are snipped fwiw.

Recent surveys have found that black American boys have slightly higher rates of circumcision than white American boys.

God is the one that instituted the practice of circumcising on the eighth day of life. Isn’t it ironic that vitamin K is at its highest level on the eighth day of a male child’s entire life? Vitamin K is what makes your blood clot.

That is actually a really cool fact- I like when science and the Bible align!

Now (since 1961) they just give the babies vitK shots at birth.

Circumcision is healthier

Prior to the AAP being funded and culturally swayed by (((circumcisors)))) in the late 1900s nobody ever claimed circumcisions were done for medical reasons. If you asked somebody in the early 1900s why we cut the tips of baby dicks off, they would tell you because it prevents sexual immorality and masterbation. Which it does, because it mutilates the nerve complex on the penis, it hardens the tissue and basically numbs 80% of the head.

It's akin to African tribes cutting the clit off a baby girl.

It's a blood ritual that literally tortures and mentally scars infant children with brain trauma. Some cultures today still perform "metzitza b'peh" which is the practice of a rabbi orally cleansing the blood directly from the penis post circumcision.

It's a barbaric practice that has roots in pagan sacrificial rites. It is a discrace to our creator and has no place in modern society. God made us the way he wanted us, who are we to declare that he screwed up our genitals so we must slice chunks of them off immediately after birth...?

What are the stats on which women prefer when performing their duties? Darth Vader or Mr. Snuffleupagus?

it's a questionable practice and should be left up to the individual when they're old enough to make that elective decision for themselves.

I’d be pissed if I had to have that procedure done when I was “old enough” to make that decision for myself

You wouldn’t be pissed because you wouldn’t do it. No one is going to willingly mutilate their genitals

After going home and meeting our pediatrician he basically said most drs refuse to do it in hospital after child birth because lack of insurance reimbursment. It's becoming less common for pediatricians to do it and you need to go to a urologist.

And really there is no reason for health insurance to pay for a cosmetic procedure that isn’t medically necessary. That’s not what insurance is for.

It's weird to me that men care this much about what other men's penises look like and get all touchy when a few of the women who frequent this board express their opinions about it.

It really is only men that care. As evidenced here, women do not care one bit.

Aesthetic is obviously subjective, but I don't get the cleanliness argument. If you don't practice basic hygiene, doesn't any body part get dirty?
