Keith Jackson dies at age 89
Keith had the GOAT broadcasting voice. Definitely, not many left that can call it how he did.

Keith Jackson, who was widely regarded as the voice of college football by several generations, died late Friday night, his family said. He was 89.
Jackson spent some 50 years calling the action in a folksy, down-to-earth manner that made him one of the most popular play-by-play personalities in the business.

RIP, all the big games from my childhood, he was calling them. One of the best!

Called a ton of great games. He's the last of a dying breed.
Now, we get idiots like Sean McDonough making calls that aren't worth a damn.
Al Michaels is probably the last one left that's worth a damn.

Sad news, he always seemed like a good dude.
He reminded me of my pops.
Dick Enberg died on 12/21/2017, that’s two big announcers in less than a month.

Hopefully Verne can join them soon.
He was ultra biased against LSU. When LSU ran any big play for 50-plus yds., he would scream Ohhhh Nooooooo!

I know. He should have just announced the games without adding his personal bias. An announcer should never be an obvious fan of one team.
