If you want to know why USC, Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, and Notre Dame seem to get preferential treatment in the polls, blame Keith Jackson.
He was so fricking good at his job, he would elevate those schools to near-God status. Just hearing him say their names, their coaches' names, their mascots... it made you think that you were listening to the greatest game in football history.
Never been a better college football broadcaster.
