A modern day Robin Hood: COA steals from the elderly and the poor, and the democrates love them and want to give them more.

Honestly, at what point in the conversation do you think Tarsha said, "I'm a big fan of Scandal...somebody call Olivia Pope!"

They never admit to doing anything wrong. TCA and a fricking SU LAW PROFESSOR wrote themselves into the will of someone under their care and they didn't see it as a conflict of interest. They're corrupt scumbags on top of being completely incompetent.

The six-month contract calls for SSA to prepare and facilitate a board retreat, which was held earlier this spring, and also to prepare and facilitate stakeholder outreach sessions. The COA agreed to pay SSA $5,000 per month for the first five months of the contract period and $7,700 for the final month. The contract expires in June.

And since they have no govt oversight or govt accountability, they won't get in any trouble for it

this is the part i really don't get

literally the only argument against oversight is the absolutely absurd "they want to regulate us b/c we're black and are getting money" one

This is always their last ditch argument. They know if they're regulated like every other govt entity they can't operate their slush fund like they want to.

I can't wait to see how many overpriced no-bid contracts are awarded to their buddies. They're response to any criticism of that will inevitably be "White people did it and no one said anything about that!"

Murphy Foster is the former La. Governor's brother. Is he that good to justify that rate or just well connected?

He is the former governors son. Not brother.

When will all these stories stop? Is there anyone to hold them accountable? Are they breaking laws?

This shite seems like one of the most corrupt scandals I've heard of taking place in Louisiana in a very long time.

Contact all the Metro Council members and ask them not to give them any of the increase in budget.

At least we all will know where they stand.

The whole thing is beyond embarrassing for BR.
