Every race has racist people. I think a lot of black people don't think they are welcomed to "mostly white" areas.

In HS I became good friends with this black dude. When you become cool with someone you don't think of them as a race, but we used to trade CDs and listen to the same music and one day I told him to come to my house and he said "I can come over?".

He came over and he was kind of tense and I asked him what was wrong and he told me "I never been to white person's house before". He told me his older sister told him one time to never go to a white person's house because you can't trust them.

Same thing with a lot of white people. If they see a black person in their area they get suspicious. If they approach them they do so in a defensive way, but its all in what you grow up around, what you hear at home, etc.

But everyone is different and if you approach things individually and find common ground with someone yall become a part of each other's world and it becomes less about race, so if a black person is "racist", that doesn't mean they will hate me as an individual (and vice versa).

Either way, all of this racist bullshite is over two high school kids going to prom.
