I’m thinking I need to get the wife a nice watch. Are the women’s Rolex’s easier to get than the men’s?

I have this Breitling and a lower-end Tag. Not a huge watch guy as I wear a Garmin daily, but the wife talked me into getting this. Looking back, probably wouldn't buy it again.

Odd that the company which sells the watch bought the "Shinola" brand most famous for a shoe polish that could be confused with feces by the deeply ignorant.

yeah, see this would be me... i'd LOVE to have a watch collection like what i imagine Obtuse and Broke have, but man, i have a tough time even spending more than $300 for a watch... i'm tough as hell on watches...

in fact, i need to get my Citizen's glass either refinished or replaced, as it has scratches on it... not sure what the best option is, so if they would like to chime in, that'd be great

I put my Black Bay Pro on leather sometimes. It's a nice change.

For the price of a women’s Rolex, you can get a women’s Patek and VC in secondary market

I have a shinola runwell. Solid American made watch.

I think you mean American assembled. They’ve run into issues claiming to be American made.

I have a few watches with leather bands but none that I wear regularly, leather is just too fragile for my purposes. I do keep mine conditioned with a dab of Saphire or Obenauf's LP once a year or so.

My collection is heavy on sporty watches on bracelts and that is what I'll have on most days, but I do own a smattering of watches on strap.

Here are some of the ones that have made an appearance in the TGIF watch thread:

JLC Master Control Date, GS SBGW231 & SBGY007 "Omiwatari", Omega Speedy Pro Moon Hesalite Ca 3861, Nomos Zurich Worldtimer, Rolex OP Date 34, IWC Pilot UTC, Glashutte Original Senator Moonphase, and Panerai Radiomir PAM00183. The Speedy and the OP date both have bracelets as well, but I generally keep leather on them.

this Breitling

Premier line (particulary the 40 mm versions) the best thing Breitling has ever done in my opinion.
