Reality star and social media influencer thinks learning about WWII in school is too ‘intense,’ can’t see its relevance

A 22-year-old reality TV star and social media “influencer” raised eyebrows on British television when he said teaching kids about World War II is too “intense” and not good for their mental well being.

“I find it, um, very like, obviously it was a hard situation, World War II,” Freddie Bentley conceded on Friday’s “Good Morning Britain.”

But according to Bentley, there are more practical things that could be taught.

“There are so many problems going on in the world like Brexit, that’s not taught in school, and climate change, which is a situation I think we should be aware of,” he said. “When I left school I felt like, it hit me like a ton of bricks because I don’t know anything about general life.”

Opinions are like assholes. Everyone's got em.

In this dude's case, his is probably used a lot more than the general population.

Every generation complains about the one that comes after it, they say...

Well, that apparently still doesn't mean that the next generations aren't shittier...

Where EXACTLY did it mention what type of school he attended.

Don’t worry. It’s cool. You are obviously the result of state schooling.

If you’re influenced by anyone on Instagram, especially by someone like this, you’re a weak minded fool....

it was pretty intense for the millions of people that died during wwii as well.

and pretty intense for the survivors of it.

one example is my grandma- whose brother was shot down and killed weeks before the war in Europe eneded.

yeah, it was intense for her.

so let us not learn from history. let us hide from it
