You guy crack me up. You hate on anyone who ever ( right or wrong) says a bad word about police, then want to hate on Trump for believing the evidence the time great prosecutor and stand up detectives where releasing.

Leave it to millennials to only be outraged about something if there's a Netflix special about it.
Majority of millennials weren't alive when this happened.

Good thing you were there to let us know what really happened

His comments were the people who did that to that woman deserve the death penalty.
What he did not say is those 5 boys are guilty and deserve the death penalty.
oh come on, he knew what he was doing

Kids did nothing wrong, and were arrested, assaulted and wrongfully convicted. The DNA evidence said it wasn’t them. The NYPD needed someone to blame it on and used these kids.
4 of the 5 confessed to participating in the attack with a parental guardian in the room. One of them correctly said it was a Puerto Rican with a hoodie who did the actually raping (Reyes).
A jury of 8 Latin American or African American jurors out of 13 convicted all 5. It's not exactly a textbook witch hunt.

On what evidence?? Forced confessions and no evidence

This has pretty consistently been on the radar with the trump campaign

They were amongst 30 youths in Central Park that night caught up in various crimes.
Were they guilty of that particular crime? Rape kit says no.
Were they committing other crimes? Survey says yes.
So give them fair and impartial trials for those alleged offenses instead of steamrolling them for something they didn’t do and then taking a stance of whatever, they probably did something else.

My point is not to uphold the convictions.
My point is to make it clear that these are the ur-example Dindu Nuffins.
When you are out there doing hood rat shite and getting caught, it becomes a lot easier to think you may have been caught up in a violent rape in the vicinity.
These weren’t find upstanding black and Latino citizens pulled in from their homes and lynched for supposedly whistling at a white woman.

Since nobody has the guts to say it, I will: This is the best thing that ever happened to these thugs...
These pieces of zhit were most likely going to wind up dead or in prison for the rest of their lives.
Now, whether they WERE wrongfully convicted/railroaded or WHATEVER, New York decided to make these worthless pieces of dog zhit instant millionaires....
Nothing about them or their actions up to the night in question would make any reasonable person believe they were going to make any thing of their lives, so the cold, hard reality is that they hit the Lottery......

Black criminality is a myth

Can’t wait until they do one of these on the Bernie Goetz case. Where at least one of the kids shot by him admitted they were going to rob him.

Wrong. This whole case was a simple case of if they're black they're guilty. Either now, in the past or in the future so throw the book at them. Period.
This is the argument of a simpleton.

Keep in mind what NYC looked like in the 1980s.
Bernie Goetz, who I mentioned in another post, had famously shot several gang members on the subway trying to mug him several years earlier.
NYC didn’t start turning around until Giuliani took over in the wake of the Crown Heights riots.

If you want to look at them as a possible suspect, sure.... but it’s ridiculous to take the stance that they likely did it (and then shoehorn evidence to fit that and leave an actual rapist on the streets).
To even remotely begin to excuse a jump like that is pretty terrible
