A contractor uses an elevator to move a machine. The elevator goes up with the machine and goes down. The machine leaves the elevator. After that the elevator closes it goes up to the top floor and then won’t work. Is the contractor at fault?

Way too vague and it's not entirely clear what is actually happening in this scenario. What's alleged to have broken what?

I don’t think the contractor is responsible because it worked after the fact.

This person is one of the biggest dick heads I’ve ever encountered. Stopped work twice and lied about me to the customer.
