Lawnmower engine experts I need help

My Ferris zero turn with a Kawasaki FX801V engine won’t hold a start. The only way I can start it is by blowing air through the tube to the gas tank and building up pressure. Once I do this it cranks and runs until all gas is out of the line. It won’t build up pressure to keep the gas flowing through the line. I replaced the fuel pump and cleaned the fuel lines. What’s the next step?

May want to also post this on the OB.

Will it run without the gas cap? May have a vent issue.

Willing to bet they will tell you that you will need a new carburetor.

Haven’t tried running it without the gas cap, but that is my next step.

It has gas, possibly shitty and that could be some of the problem, but it has gas.

Do you use ethonal gas in it? If so? How long it been sitting there with that shite in the fuel system?

I do. I drained it before the winter. I’m sure the shitty gas doesn’t help.

How old is it? If old the rubber fuel lines maybe gummed up/blocked on the inside. Replace all the fuel lines.

Ethanol kills small engines.

Did you change the fuel filter?

Stuck float or the bowl is full of nastiness. Should be fairly easy to remove bowl and clean out.
