If you go down 171, gasoline may be an issue. Mansfield had huge lines at every gas station today. Some of the stations ran out of gas but I noticed that the gasoline trucks were reloading this evening.

My brother is in Baton Rouge heading back to LC in the morning. He needs 4 gas cans for my sister and we can't find any anywhere for him to buy some. Checked the usual places HD, Lowe's, Walmart...any places open until 9 he can check tonight? He has to be on the road with his job in the AM and can't stop. He is the outage superintendent for Entergy so he has a lot of work ahead of him.

Check the Stine Lumber locations along the way, Crowley and Jennings are both open and right off the interstate. They both had gas cans as of this afternoon. Getting more generators tomorrow morning. For those that don’t know, Stine is a family owned business based in Sulphur. They are good people. No, I don’t work for them but I’m one of their vendors and the family is the real deal. The old man that started it was a WWII Bomber pilot. Now his 5 sons run the business.

I just want to say that I admire the hell out of most of the folks on this board. There's a whole lot of shite stirring, but when that shite hits the fan, this place comes together.

I've felt my heart telling me to load up a bunch of stuff, and head down that way with it, but I've had an uncle pass recently and have funeral plans this weekend. It is just tough knowing so many people need help, and what they are going through. This place place at least shows that people can still come together.

That means something. I don't give a damn what the news tells me.

Nah, I probably know and we’re friends. Most of us are in this business and ain’t nobody got enough hands to keep up with the no-driving motherfrickers in this area.

Thanks(?) to Laura, we’ll all be busy for a year (or more) when we all get power. A few of my friends have already told me the conditions of their shops and I also know of a few others that won’t be back “in business” for a long fricking time because of damage.

Navarre has no paint shop left in LC and no front office at the Sulphur body shop. I also heard Bolton’s shop was messed up pretty bad. Most of us in the area are in a text group with each other and we used to all get together for meetings and drinks.

My uncle owns a body shop in DeRidder and another family member has the shop in 171 in MB close to Gillis.
