Yeah, but Laura still has a lot of potential if it gets to spend a lot of time over the Gulf.

Hurricane Frederic took a very similar path over Cuba, and ended up a Cat. 4.

True. Water will be plenty warm enough. I don't think shear will be terrible. It could get it back together.
