There are actually two decent couplets in that warning.

I’m in south Lake Charles. We still have power, but lights just flickered.

Often times they're worried about looters, which is insane, but also to be expected, because you have to be insane to stay.
Someone was just tell me they offered an aunt and uncle plane tickets to family in Georgia early yesterday and they declined. Offered to pay for them to stay in Covington early this morning and they declined.
They finally got a room at L’Auberge in LC, which was obviously canceled. So now they’re at a motel in Hayes, which I had never heard of but doesn’t seem all that far from LC.
I don’t get it. Their reasoning for declining and staying close was to be close in case of looters.

At what point do you just say to hell with it and warn the whole band?
In practice they might should. That's the first part of the Lake Charles worry. I'm seeing some big rotating clusters within the band. It's going to be dropping little tornadoes constantly as it pushes into the area.

Is anybody in SELA/BR area actually experiencing anything yet? Seems it’s still very calm.

Looks even better on base velocity.

I wanted to watch in person. I live in a newer brick house so I felt safe. I also have 2 generators.
I live in a subdivision called Crestview and it's off nelson, a little passed country club.
My power is still on. Wind Gusts are 55. No debris except some tree branches

They didn't used to warn a whole line like that. I've seen it happen several times over the past few years though.

Haha he’s been spewing facts for the last hour. Showing maps and everything. He finally took a break to eat and drink something. Calm down
