I just was curious what the impact on one, or both storms would be should it play out that way.

Any time I've seen it played out in real time, it has been a larger storm take on a weaker one and little to no effect noticed.

So if the 12z GFS verifies, it's looking like TD 14 would make landfall around 8am Tuesday

Two storms closer in strength can gravitate towards each other until they reach a common point and merge, or merely spin each other around for a while before shooting off on their own paths. But often, the effect is additive when hurricanes come together — we usually end up with one massive storm instead of two smaller ones.

I’m really really hoping the models get it right on the strengthening. Yeah a TS/Cat 1 isn’t always a walk in the park but so much more preferable than a Cat 3

I’ll feel much better if the strength remains forecasted the same by Sunday

This won’t happen...... a front is gonna come through and take 13 to the East and 14will be to far south to be effected from the same front. Plus 14 has to go over a bunch of land before it ends up in the southwestern gulf and could get torn apart....

So close to me I can wave at it.

Thank goodness our rice harvest is super close to done. Hopefully my husband will be able to help some others out.

Two storms in the gulf. Louisiana in the cone for one. Got ourselves pretty solid hurricane thread potential here.

Well F. A storm I'm ok with ... maybe a cat 1 I'm ok with. More than that I gotta get out.

Not to mention we're about to start cutting sunflowers to sell to raise money for St. Jude.
