Lowes is one step ahead. They had signs that said they only accept returns of generators unopened in the box.
My generator, as do most good generators, has a meter on it that keeps count of how many hours the generator has been run. It is used to help me know when I need to change the oil after so many hours of use.

Trying to avoid being East of the storm. Austin looks more inviting as of now.

12z Euro EPS is centered just SW of Houston. It only gets a few of the 50+ members into Louisiana.

That would do it.

I think if the track moves, it moves toward Texas. So be ready for maybe need to move but I'd think Austin would be far enough west to miss the leftovers even then.

Of course they do but a power outage won't kill you which is the point to people saying Shreveport is about to be wiped off the map. If I evacuate I'm heading home the second the storm is passed so I wouldn't care if the power goes out.

Driving back from Shreveport to LC isn’t exactly cake if the storm is bad, even after it passes.

If I’m in LC and evacuating for safety, I’m going to BR. Easy drive and a relatively unpopular destination for most evacuations.

If I need to ensure I’m not going to be out of power, west side of Houston is my call. Might be a bitch if a trip though with TX residents also going that way.

Brought the wife's car to the casino parking garage to keep it from flooding. Taking my truck out of town.

Tropical Storm Isaias’ path of destruction through Connecticut and much of the East Coast could easily push insurance claims for property damage into the billions of dollars. Isaias knocked out power for more than 2 million customers across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

The Euro has gone from the easternmost solution, by a lot, yesterday afternoon to the westernmost now.

I’m not going to argue over the Euro ensemble output at this point, but haven’t they always been substantially west of the operational runs for Laura?

Clearly the NHC is discounting them at their own peril

Not saying anything is bad with Marco getting shredded to pieces but the NHC and NWS dropped the ball on this forecast.

Did not see the shear ? Or relying on models completely. Marco was a bigger bust than Jamarcus Russel.

Please explain this to me:

The pic posted above showing almost all the EURO ensemble members going well into Texas is very different from the EURO run showing a Cameron Parish landfall. Why doesn't the EURO closely follow where the majority of its ensembles go?
